Chasity Rice, a 4-star point guard from Etiwanda High School, has committed to Notre Dame women's basketball. The announcement came via social media on October 6. Rice, who also considered SMU, Fresno State, and Oregon, is ranked No. 36 on the 2027 SportsCenter NEXT 100 list. This adds to Notre Dame's recruiting momentum, following the commitment of five-star forward Eve Long in May. Rice previously played for Sports Academy Swish in the Nike Girls Elite Youth Basketball League, averaging 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
