Chattanooga Lookouts score 10 runs in seventh to defeat Knoxville Smokies

The Chattanooga Lookouts scored 10 runs in the seventh inning to overcome an early deficit and beat the Knoxville Smokies 13-3 on September 3. Playing at Covenant Health Park, the Smokies initially held a three-run lead thanks to five scoreless innings from starter Jake Knapp. The game turned after Knapp exited, as the Chattanooga offense plated 13 runs over the final four frames. Reliever Jackson Brockett surrendered seven earned runs during his inning of work, allowing Chattanooga to take a 2-1 lead in the current home series. Knoxville has already clinched a playoff berth through a first-half title, but currently trails in this series. The Smokies continue their home stand on September 4 with a game against the Lookouts.
