In the co-featured bout Clarke will be taking on Jack Massey and he tells Sky Sports that he’s proven his own ability against this level of opponent, and that gives him great confidence that he’ll do the job this weekend, despite previous career setbacks. “It’s going to be operational,” said Clarke. “That’s all I can say. Operational. You guys who have seen me fight, you know that I’m explosive and all of that,” he said. “But I’m hoping to show what I’ve been learning in training and hopefully I apply it here and my coach will be happy, I’ll be happy, everybody will be happy when I’m victorious.” Clarke (11-2, 8 KOs) is most recently coming off a stoppage win over against a low-rated opponent last December, which got him back in the win column after consecutive losses to Leonardo Mosquea and Viddal Riley. In that respect Clarke says he’s well accustomed to overcoming adversity and believes this fight will keep the ball rolling in his career. His opponent, Massey (23-3, 13 KOs) is also coming off a stoppage win late last year, which served to get him back on the winning track after getting stopped by Jai Opetaia in late 2024.
"Cheavon Clarke co-headlines in the UK this weekend.
