Chelsea and Everton failed to finalize transfers for Monaco players

Chelsea and Everton both failed to complete late-night transfers on deadline day following a series of negotiations involving Lamine Camara and Folarin Balogun. Chelsea attempted to acquire the midfielder Camara, who had already passed a medical and signed a contract, but Monaco withdrew from the deal after Everton moved to sign striker Balogun. Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro stated the club opted to cancel the Camara agreement once they believed the sale of Balogun to Everton would proceed. However, the deal for Balogun collapsed after the forward left Everton's training ground without signing. Monaco remains under pressure to generate funds for Uefa financial compliance and is considering sales to countries with open transfer windows. Camara is expected to remain with Monaco for their upcoming match against Paris St-Germain.
