Chelsea eye Álvaro Carreras after Cucurella's transfer to Real Madrid

Chelsea is reportedly pursuing Real Madrid left-back Álvaro Carreras amid growing interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United. Carreras may become available following Marc Cucurella's move to Madrid, which positions Cucurella as the starting left-back. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has a prior relationship with Carreras that could influence the transfer. Real Madrid seeks to recoup the €50 million paid for Carreras, with Chelsea needing to move quickly to secure the defender. The situation’s urgency is heightened by the interest of Premier League clubs, as Carreras aims for more playing time to further his development.
