Chelsea face Arsenal at the Emirates in a Champions League fixture

Chelsea visit the Emirates stadium today for a Champions League match against Arsenal. Manager Xabi Alonso oversees his squad in a high-profile test as the club seeks to establish its competitiveness in the league. Emi Martinez is expected to start in goal, with a defensive trio of Wesley Fofana, Maxence Lacroix, and Levi Colwill likely to maintain their positions. Uncertainties persist regarding the wing-back roles, where Jorrel Hato, Malo Gusto, Pep Chavarria, Pedro Neto, and Marco Palestra are under consideration. Romeo Lavia and Reece James are slated for midfield duties in the continued absence of Moises Caicedo, while the attacking trident remains consistent with Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers. The result of this match will serve as an indicator of Chelsea's progress under Alonso as they attempt to transition from top-four aspirants to title contenders.
