Chelsea face Leeds United in League Cup with multiple injury absences

Chelsea host Leeds United today in a League Cup match following a recent defeat against Arsenal. Manager Xabi Alonso confirmed the team remains without several key players due to ongoing fitness issues. Moisés Caicedo and Marco Palestra are unavailable for the fixture, and the status of Jordan Henderson and Emmanual Emegha remains uncertain heading into the match. Alonso indicated that the club is taking a cautious approach with the recovering players to avoid further setbacks. The team seeks to rebound from their loss last Sunday as they prepare for the cup competition. No definitive lineup has been confirmed, leaving tactical adjustments to account for the sidelined midfielders as the primary focus for the coaching staff.
