Chelsea finalizes £850,000 deal for Man Utd striker Melvine Malard

Chelsea has agreed to sign Manchester United striker Melvine Malard for approximately £850,000. The 26-year-old France international will undergo a medical at Stamford Bridge soon. Malard, who recorded 19 goal involvements last season, is an important addition as Chelsea looks to bolster its attacking line after Sam Kerr's departure to Gotham FC. She previously played under Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor at Lyon before joining United in 2023. United had offered Malard a new contract but she opted for a transfer to Chelsea instead.
