Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez joins Como on a season-long loan

Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has completed a season-long loan move to the Italian Serie A side Como. The 28-year-old moves to the club managed by Cesc Fabregas after falling behind Emiliano Martinez in the Chelsea pecking order. Sanchez had started for Chelsea in their Premier League opener against Fulham but was subsequently dropped from the matchday squad following the arrival of Martinez from Aston Villa. During his time at Stamford Bridge, the goalkeeper made 112 appearances and secured both the Conference League and the Club World Cup titles. While reports regarding a potential purchase option vary, the move provides the Spaniard with regular playing time at a club preparing for the Champions League campaign. Como has also recently added striker Moise Kean to their roster on loan.
