Chelsea loan Emenalo, Mheuka and Dyer following the transfer deadline

Chelsea confirmed three final loan agreements for academy players following the close of the transfer window. Landon Emenalo and Shim Mheuka have both joined Scottish champions Celtic, while Kiano Dyer moves to League Two side Chesterfield FC for the remainder of the campaign. Both Emenalo and Mheuka are 18 years old, and Dyer is 19. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill stated the moves are intended to provide the players with high-level experience as they compete for minutes alongside senior international talent. While Mheuka arrives at Celtic on a contract extension from Chelsea, Emenalo joins the club following his participation in the Chelsea first-team preseason tour. The club confirmed these moves in the morning hours following the deadline closure, ruling out further late activity including a rumored pursuit of free agent Georginio Wijnaldum.
