Chelsea midfielder Kendry Paez trains alone after River Plate loan cancellation

Chelsea attacker Kendry Paez is training at Cobham after his loan spell at River Plate was cancelled. The 19-year-old Ecuador international is not part of the first-team squad under Xabi Alonso and will continue isolated training sessions until the January transfer window. Alonso confirmed that Paez does not factor into his immediate plans for the first team. The club expects to facilitate another loan move for the teenager when the transfer market reopens. While some analysts suggest this period provides an opportunity for the player to refocus, he remains excluded from competitive match play for the next several months. Separately, Chelsea expects the return of defender Marco Palestra from injury in the near future.
