Chelsea nearing deal for Strasbourg winger Gessime Yassine

Chelsea FC has reportedly made significant progress in signing winger Gessime Yassine from RC Strasbourg. The 20-year-old Moroccan international, who has contributed two goals and three assists in 25 appearances this season, is described by Chelsea's former goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon as 'practically' signed. Yassine was acquired by Strasbourg earlier in 2026 from Dunkerque for €7 million. Should the transfer proceed, Yassine would follow other Strasbourg players to Chelsea, highlighting the club's ongoing recruitment strategy from its sister organization. Details on the finalization of the transfer are expected.
