Chelsea prepare for Sunday visit to face Manchester United in WSL

Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor leads her squad to Leigh Sports Village this Sunday to face Manchester United in the Barclays Women’s Super League. The fixture follows Chelsea's opening 1-1 draw against Aston Villa and a defeat for Manchester United against London City Lionesses. Bompastor described the venue as a difficult place to play given the atmosphere, noting that she expects a determined performance from the hosts under new head coach Eva Olid. Chelsea forward Melvine Malard is unavailable for the match against her former club. However, Nathalie Björn has returned to full training and is set to travel with the squad to face Manchester United. Kick-off for the league clash is scheduled for 12pm on Sunday.
