Chelsea seeks to sign defender Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano
Summary

Chelsea FC is in discussions to acquire Spanish defender Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano. Chavarria has enjoyed a strong season in La Liga, contributing one goal and three assists across 44 appearances. His contract with Rayo Vallecano runs until summer 2030, meaning Chelsea would need to present a convincing offer to secure his services. Should he join, Chavarria is expected to enhance the defensive depth under manager Xabi Alonso, potentially replacing Marc Cucurella.
