Chelsea signs Danny Welbeck from Brighton to bolster attack
Summary

Chelsea has confirmed the signing of veteran striker Danny Welbeck from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 35-year-old has signed a two-year deal and will join Xabi Alonso's squad for the pre-season. Welbeck's signing represents a shift in Chelsea's transfer strategy, as the club has primarily focused on younger players in recent years. He scored a career-high 13 league goals for Brighton last season. The move raises questions about the future of other Chelsea forwards, including Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson.
