Cherokee girls lacrosse team falls to Ridgewood in Group 4 final

Cherokee lost 12-4 to Ridgewood in the NJSIAA Group 4 girls lacrosse championship held at the College of New Jersey. Junior Abby Ball scored three goals for Cherokee, while senior Lyla Clark added one. Ridgewood took control of the match, scoring eight consecutive goals after Cherokee opened the scoring. Despite their efforts, the Chiefs could not close the gap, ending a season where they looked to reclaim a state title after previous losses in the South Group 4 championship games. Cherokee will lose seven seniors to graduation but will return Ball for another season.
