Chicago Bears acquire All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons in major trade

The Chicago Bears have traded for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans, sending first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, along with a fourth-round pick in 2027 and receiving a fifth-round pick in 2028. Simmons, a four-time Pro Bowl selection with 15 sacks in the past two seasons, is expected to enhance the Bears' defense significantly. This trade is historic as Simmons becomes the first defensive tackle to be traded for multiple first-round picks since 1967. Simmons ties for the Bears' team lead in sacks upon his arrival, and his past college teammate Montez Sweat will join him on the defensive line.
