Chicago Bears re-sign defensive tackle James Lynch to active roster

The Chicago Bears re-signed defensive tackle James Lynch on August 31, one day after releasing him during final roster cuts. Lynch joined the team as a free agent earlier this offseason following a period with the Tennessee Titans. During the preseason, he recorded four tackles, two quarterback hits, and one pass defensed. His performance during training camp previously factored into the team’s decision to trade Gervon Dexter to the Atlanta Falcons.
