Chicago Bears restructure three contracts to create salary cap space

General manager Ryan Poles executed these moves less than two weeks before the team’s season opener against Carolina. The organization faced limited cap flexibility prior to the adjustments, which push additional financial responsibility into the 2027 season. The Bears currently have roster needs at the edge-rusher position and have dealt with injuries in the secondary, including the absence of Kyler Gordon and Coby Bryant.
