Chicago Sky's playoff hopes end with loss to Indiana Fever

Summary

The Chicago Sky suffered a significant defeat against the Indiana Fever at Wintrust Arena on August 21, leading to their mathematical elimination from playoff contention. The loss was characterized by a series of three-pointers from Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell during the third quarter. This season marks the Sky's third consecutive year missing the playoffs, with injuries and key trades contributing to their struggles. Star forward Rickea Jackson's ACL injury and the offseason trade of Angel Reese have compounded their issues, reflecting poor decision-making by management under general manager Jeff Pagliocca.
