Chicago White Sox expected to target Freddy Peralta in free agency

The Chicago White Sox are predicted to make significant free agency moves, targeting All-Star pitcher Freddy Peralta. After experiencing three consecutive seasons with at least 100 losses, the White Sox surprised many by reaching the postseason last year, finishing with 84 wins but dealing with a 4.60 ERA from their starting staff. Peralta, recently with the Tampa Bay Rays after a stint with the New York Mets, excelled at the end of the previous season, posting a 0.79 ERA in his last six regular-season starts. If signed, he could serve as a key mentor to younger players on the White Sox roster.
