Chig Okonkwo joins Washington offense for the 2026 season

Summary

Tight end Chig Okonkwo begins his tenure with the Washington football team following four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Entering the 2026 season, Okonkwo serves as a potential target in an offense led by quarterback Jayden Daniels. The team recently added Stefon Diggs to a receiving corps that remains anchored by Terry McLaurin. Analysts suggest Okonkwo could secure a larger share of team targets due to an ambiguous distribution behind the primary receivers. While his individual performance struggled during his previous stint in Tennessee, his transition to Washington offers a fresh opportunity within a high-scoring system. Okonkwo remains a depth option for fantasy rosters as he prepares for his debut performance against the Birds.
