Chloe Symon and Mary MacLean reach U20 World Championships semifinals

Chloe Symon and Mary MacLean, both representing Canada, qualified for the semifinals of the 800 meters at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Symon clocked a time of 2:07.06, while MacLean secured a spot with a finish of 2:06.47. MacLean is an incoming freshman from Strathcona High School and has a personal best of 2:04.41 in the 800m, while Symon is a rising sophomore who holds U20 Canadian records. They will compete in the 800m semifinals on Friday evening. Other Huskies athletes, including Saoirse Fitzgerald and Shannon Drury, are also participating in various events at the championships.
