Chris Henry Jr. catches first collegiate touchdown for Ohio State

Ohio State freshman wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. recorded his first career collegiate reception for a 15-yard touchdown during the fourth quarter of a 56-3 victory over Ball State. Henry, a five-star recruit in the 2026 class, entered the contest with limited playing time as the Buckeyes utilized 14 different receivers throughout the game. The freshman previously competed at Mater Dei High School in California after spending his youth living with Pacman Jones. His father, Chris Henry Sr., was a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals before his death in 2009. While established starter Jeremiah Smith led the team with 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the first half, Henry demonstrated his potential as a future contributor for the program. The result marks the end of the matchup between Ohio State and Ball State.
