Chris Jericho announces first-ever AEW event at sea on November 7
Summary

Chris Jericho has confirmed that AEW will host a live event on his Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise. The show, scheduled for November 7, will be streamed live, marking the first time AEW has taped a wrestling event at sea. Jericho and AEW agreed to a new multi-year deal earlier this year, which led to the planning of this event. AEW stars Kofi Kingston, Austin Creed, and Harley Cameron are already booked for the cruise, and Jericho indicated that additional talent will be confirmed soon. This event will occur the same week as AEW's Blood & Guts show in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 4.

Back in 2020, AEW Dynamite taped an episode aboard Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea. Since then, Jericho has continued to run his mostly annual cruises (2019 and 2022 have been the only years without one since the first in 2018), but there hasn’t been another episode pro wrestling television filmed on the boat…UNTIL NOW. Honestly, I’d kinda assumed that issues between Jericho and AEW were a big reason why AEW hadn’t done more taping from one of Jericho’s cruises. Until he somewhat abruptly returned on Dynamite in April, much of the wrestle web presumed Jericho was headed back to WWE after a year off away from AEW — especially as reports indicated his contract with Tony Khan ended with 2025, and given the way fans turned on him before that hiatus. But the two decided to recommit to one another, and signed another multi-year deal earlier this year. So with that taken care of, AEW and its first World champion could get down to the “satellite connection, Wi-Fi, generators, and thousands of feet of cable” necessary to not only hold an AEW show on Jericho’s cruise, but to air/stream on live from sea for the first-time. That will be the Sat., Nov. 7 edition of AEW Collision, as Jericho revealed on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast: “Lots of logistics, lots of bells and whistles, lots of things we had to figure out. But we made it work. And it’s the first time ever.” Kofi & Austin Creed of The New Level, and Harley Cameron are the AEW stars featured on the graphic, and both had already been booked for this year’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea (the former New Day duo have also been announced for a live recording of Talk is Jericho from the ship). Jericho told TMZ anyone TK can use whoever he wants on the live show at sea. “Whoever Tony books that night for Collision will be on the boat. The cruise is going to start off with an actual all-star Collision lineup.” The show at sea will be the same week as Blood & Guts, which AEW just announced for Weds., Nov. 4 in Jacksonville, Florida. Excited for some Saturday night rasslin’ on the ocean
