Chris Johnson, the former New York Jets running back, disclosed his ALS diagnosis during an interview on "Good Morning America". He shared that he was diagnosed in 2025 and is experiencing rapid progression of the disease, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Johnson, now 39, is vocal about his condition to raise awareness regarding ALS. The Jets and other NFL teams are reportedly expressing their support for him following his announcement. Johnson played just one season with the Jets in 2014, becoming an All-Pro before leaving the team.
