Chris Johnson reveals ALS diagnosis on Good Morning America

Former Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson announced he has been diagnosed with ALS during an appearance on Good Morning America. The 40-year-old, who communicated through a speech-generating device, stressed that although ALS has limited his physical capabilities, it hasn't changed who he is. Johnson was diagnosed with sporadic ALS in 2025, after a notable NFL career where he amassed over 9,600 rushing yards and earned the nickname 'CJ2K' for rushing over 2,000 yards in a single season. He hopes that sharing his story can help others and promote research. The Houston Texans are set to report for training camp on July 21.
