Washington Huskies receiver Christian Moss will miss time following a soft-tissue injury sustained during the team's 24-10 win over the Washington State Cougars in the Apple Cup. Head coach Jedd Fisch confirmed the injury on Monday, leaving the starting "X" receiver position vacant. Second-year player Chris Lawson, who stepped in during Sunday's victory to record four catches for 87 yards, will assume the starting role. Fisch noted that Lawson possesses the versatility to align at any of the three receiver spots within the offensive scheme. The team also expects to provide increased opportunities to true freshman Jordan Clay and third-year wideout Justice Williams while Moss remains sidelined. The Huskies next face the Utah State Aggies this Saturday at Husky Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT.
