Chris Paddack nearing deal with Rangers after leaving Reds

Pitcher Chris Paddack is reportedly close to signing with the Texas Rangers after being designated for assignment by the Cincinnati Reds on June 24. Paddack only made five appearances for the Reds after joining the team on a one-year deal in May 2026. He recorded a 6.04 ERA during his short stint, with two starts in which he did not secure a win. Previously, he started the season with the Miami Marlins, tallying a 7.63 ERA in six games before his DFA. The Rangers have yet to confirm the agreement.
