Chris Richards trains with USMNT but out for Germany friendly

Chris Richards of the U.S. men's national team trained with the group on June 5 but will miss the last pre-World Cup friendly against Germany on June 6 due to an ankle injury sustained on May 17. Although he has been involved in training, U.S. head coach Mauricio Pochettino stated he is not ready to compete. Richards was unable to play in the team’s previous friendly against Senegal and his status for the World Cup remains uncertain. Pochettino mentioned the challenge of assessing Richards’ fitness due to a lack of clear information from his club, Crystal Palace, regarding his recovery.
