Chris Sutton and Serge Pizzorno provide Premier League match predictions

BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton and Kasabian frontman Serge Pizzorno have issued predictions for the upcoming round of Premier League fixtures. The pair analyzed a slate of matches including Ipswich hosting Liverpool and Newcastle facing Bournemouth at St James' Park. Sutton noted early-season performances, highlighting the defensive vulnerabilities of several clubs despite aggressive offensive strategies. The predictions feature a point-based system where participants earn 10 points for a correct result and 40 points for an exact score. The process also incorporates automated predictions generated by Microsoft Copilot Chat to compare against human experts and readers. These projections serve as part of a recurring weekly segment that tracks the accuracy of various forecasters throughout the Premier League season.
