Christ School runner Brooks Barbee commits to University of Oregon programs

Christ School runner Brooks Barbee announced his commitment to the University of Oregon track and field and cross-country teams on Sept. 1. Barbee shared his decision via Instagram, acknowledging the role his coaches, teammates, and family played in his development. The student-athlete enters his upcoming season as the reigning All-WNC Boys Runner of the Year. He previously contributed to a state championship title for the Greenies and remains a key part of the team's effort to secure consecutive state championships. In addition to his college commitment, Barbee secured a name, image and likeness partnership with New Balance in early August. He is expected to join the Oregon program following his final year with Christ School.
