Christian Gonzalez could sign big deal with Patriots before 2026 season
Summary

Christian Gonzalez, a key cornerback for the New England Patriots, is in talks for a potential contract extension ahead of the 2026 season. Currently under contract through 2027, Gonzalez has missed voluntary organized team activities while seeking a new deal. NFL insider Ian Rapoport believes there is a good chance the Patriots will solidify an agreement by Week 1, with Gonzalez potentially seeking an annual average of $35 million. While Rapoport expects the team to pay the Pro Bowler handsomely, he indicated that an agreement may not be imminent.
