Christian Gonzalez hints at new Patriots contract during Boston outing

Christian Gonzalez has hinted that a new contract with the New England Patriots is imminent. During a recent visit to a Boston restaurant, Gonzalez was photographed with server David Ledbury, who mentioned that they are "going over the final touches on the contract." The cornerback is expected to break the record for the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history, following the recent deal signed by Denzel Ward. Gonzalez has expressed respect for the Patriots organization while keeping specific contract discussions private. He and fellow cornerback Devon Witherspoon appear to be in a wait-and-see battle regarding their contracts.
