Christian Mahogany returns to Lions' practice, left guard battle intensifies

Detroit Lions left guard Christian Mahogany returned to practice on July 31 after being placed on the non-football injury list prior to training camp. Coach Dan Campbell had not previously indicated Mahogany's return. While Mahogany performed well last season, the team is reviewing competition at his position, including candidates Miles Frazier and Ben Bartch. Bartch is a veteran recovering from ankle surgery, while Frazier made a limited debut last season following a knee injury. Campbell stated that the competition will benefit all players involved, emphasizing Mahogany's opportunity to showcase his skills now that he has resumed practice.
