Christian McCaffrey misses practice due to injury concerns

Summary

Christian McCaffrey has not participated in San Francisco 49ers training camp since August 8 due to tightness. Speculation arose about a possible contract dispute following contract extensions for other running backs, but NFL insider Ian Rapoport clarified that McCaffrey's situation involves legitimate tightness. Rapoport stated there is no cause for alarm. McCaffrey is under contract through the 2027 season, with a $12.5 million non-guaranteed salary this year, which is significantly lower than recently signed players in his position. The team and fans await updates on his recovery as the preseason continues.
