Christian McCaffrey records few carries in first half against the Los Angeles Rams

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has played a limited role during the first half of the team’s Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Through the end of the second quarter, McCaffrey recorded only two carries. His teammate Kaelon Black received five more carries than the starter during the same period. McCaffrey was not listed on the team's injury report heading into the game, and there has been no official explanation for his reduced involvement. The 49ers offense continues to operate through the first half as the matchup against the Rams remains ongoing. Reporters are monitoring the situation to determine if any underlying physical issue accounts for the shift in distribution of touches between the two running backs.
