Cincinnati Bearcats host Boston College in season opener at Nippert Stadium

The Cincinnati Bearcats open their 2026 campaign against Boston College on September 5 at Nippert Stadium. Head coach Scott Satterfield enters his fourth season looking to build on the team's bowl eligibility streak. The Bearcats will feature a revamped offense led by quarterback JC French IV, while the defense transitions to a new 3-4 scheme under coordinator Nate Woody. Boston College, coming off a 2-10 finish last year, is led by head coach Bill O'Brien and quarterback Mason McKenzie. Following the season-ending Achilles injury to safety Ty Goodwill, Cincinnati recently added Louisville transfer D'Angelo Hutchinson to the roster. Several outlets, including Dimers and the College Football Network, have projected a victory for the Bearcats in their season debut.
