Cincinnati Bearcats win home opener against Boston College 34-15

The University of Cincinnati football team extended its home-opening winning streak to 25 games on Sept. 5 with a 34-15 victory over Boston College. The Bearcats established an early lead, heading into halftime with a 10-0 advantage before expanding it to 24-0 in the second half. Running back Gi'Bran Payne led the ground attack with 108 yards on 14 carries, contributing to a team total of 254 rushing yards. Quarterback JC French threw for 77 yards on 10-of-14 passing while adding three rushing touchdowns. Boston College quarterback Mason McKenzie recorded 223 passing yards, though the Eagles did not score until late in the third quarter. Coach Scott Satterfield credited the win to a collaborative effort across the offense, defense, and special teams.
