Cincinnati Reds call up Brandon Leibrandt from Triple-A Louisville

The Cincinnati Reds have selected left-handed pitcher Brandon Leibrandt from Triple-A Louisville, designating right-handed pitcher Yunior Marte for assignment. Leibrandt, 33, previously made two appearances for the Reds in 2024, posting a 9.95 ERA during that time. He is the son of former MLB pitcher Charlie Leibrandt, who debuted with the Reds in 1979. Brandon made his MLB debut in 2020 with the Marlins, posting a 2.00 ERA in five appearances. He pitched in 2025 with the CTBC Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League before signing a minor-league deal with the Reds last December. Amid this season, he accumulated a 5.23 ERA in 11 starts at Louisville.
