Cincinnati Reds' Michael Toglia injures shoulder in Diamondbacks opener

Michael Toglia of the Cincinnati Reds dislocated his right shoulder while making a diving catch during the first inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 21. Toglia, who recently joined the Reds, suffered the injury while attempting to snag a line drive. After throwing the ball to center field, he collapsed in pain and was attended to by trainers before leaving the game. Toglia has struggled at the plate this season, recording just three hits in 26 at-bats. He was replaced in left field by TJ Friedl after exiting the game.
