The Cincinnati Reds have placed veteran slugger Eugenio Suárez on outright waivers, allowing teams 48 hours to claim him. Suárez, a two-time All-Star, hit 49 home runs with 118 RBIs last season but has struggled this year, batting just.208 with 19 home runs through 103 games. The Reds, nine games out of the final NL Wild Card spot, are reevaluating their roster as Suárez's performance has declined significantly.
