Cincinnati Reds president Nick Krall keeps organization door open for Joey Votto

Cincinnati Reds president Nick Krall confirmed that the organization remains interested in bringing former MVP Joey Votto back into the fold. Votto, who played 17 seasons for the club before retiring in 2024, has maintained a presence around the team, including a recent visit during the Reds' series against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. While Krall emphasized that the organization views the former first baseman as a tremendous asset, Votto has not committed to a specific role. Since his retirement, Votto has worked with Class A prospects in Daytona and pursued media opportunities, stating he is not yet interested in a full-time professional commitment. Krall indicated that the Reds front office continues to hold an open invitation for Votto to return to the franchise in some capacity whenever he is ready.
