Cincinnati Reds promote pitcher Julian Garcia from Triple-A Louisville

The Cincinnati Reds announced the promotion of right-handed pitcher Julian Garcia from Triple-A Louisville on June 22. Garcia, 31, has demonstrated strong performance this season, recording a 3.03 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings for the Bats. This will mark his Major League Baseball debut, after joining the Reds from independent baseball where he excelled with a 3.39 ERA and a record of 163 strikeouts over 2024 and 2025. Garcia had previously struggled at the Triple-A level in 2021 with the Philadelphia Phillies but rebounded to become a key player for the Kansas City Monarchs before his signing with Cincinnati.
