The Cincinnati Reds promoted Carlos Jorge to the major leagues on Friday. Jorge, ranked as the organization’s No. 16 prospect by MLB Pipeline, made his big-league debut as a pinch-hitter during the sixth inning of a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He flied out to left field in his only at-bat of the game. Prior to his promotion, Jorge played 88 games across Triple-A Louisville and Double-A Chattanooga. During that span, he maintained a.308 batting average while recording eight home runs, 43 RBIs, and 33 stolen bases.
