Cincinnati Reds sign infielder Orlando Arcia to a minor-league contract

The Cincinnati Reds signed free agent infielder Orlando Arcia to a minor-league contract on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Following the signing, the organization assigned the 32-year-old to Triple-A Louisville. Arcia previously appeared in 19 games for the Minnesota Twins earlier this year, posting a.271 batting average with two extra-base hits and two RBI before his release in June. Throughout his career, he spent five seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers and five years with the Atlanta Braves, where he earned an All-Star selection in 2023 and captured a World Series title in 2021. He also played 76 games across the Atlanta and Colorado organizations during the 2025 season. The transaction was officially reflected on the MLB player moves page.
