Cincinnati Reds trade Rece Hinds for pitcher Zach McCambley from Marlins

The Cincinnati Reds have traded outfielder Rece Hinds to the Miami Marlins in exchange for right-handed pitcher Zach McCambley. McCambley, set to make his MLB debut, was selected from Triple-A Louisville and has posted a 2.45 ERA with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings since the trade. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in 2020. Following his selection, the team also recalled reliever Luis Mey while designating Brandon Leibrandt and Lyon Richardson for assignment.
