C.J. Goodwin has announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons spent primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. The 36-year-old, who played every game last season as a special teams captain, made the announcement following his ninth annual PEGA Foundation All-Star Sports Camp. Goodwin initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014 and later debuted with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016. Over his career, he played 136 games, recording 94 tackles and two forced fumbles as a special teams player.
