Clark County considers naming roads for Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch

Nevada Speedway, LLC has petitioned the Clark County Planning Commission to name two sections of a service road at Las Vegas Motor Speedway after local drivers Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch. The proposed names are Busch Brothers Drive and Rowdy Road. Planning staff support the first designation but raised concerns regarding the use of Rowdy Road, citing potential conflicts for emergency 911 dispatch services due to an existing street with that name in the county. Commissioners are scheduled to review these requests at a meeting next week. If approved, the signage would be installed within 60 days. These tributes follow the death of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, who passed away on May 21 at age 41. Separately, the track has scheduled the inaugural Kyle Busch Classic for October 2, and Richard Childress Racing has suspended the use of the No. 8 car in his honor.
