Clarksville Academy football forfeits upcoming week 3 game against Grace Christian

Clarksville Academy will forfeit its scheduled Week 3 TSSAA football game against Grace Christian Academy this Friday in Franklin. Athletic director Sean Wilson cited player injuries, extreme heat, and limited roster availability as the primary reasons for the decision. The Cougars, who have a roster of 17 players, previously lost to Fort Campbell and Jo Byrns earlier this season. A Week 1 game against Hunters Lane was also forfeited by the opponent. Wilson stated that player safety is a priority and confirmed the program intends to complete the remainder of the 2026 schedule. The team is currently set to return to play for a region contest against Nashville Christian on Sept. 11.
